Both speaking and doing it

‘Mercy (deeds of)  is not simply a “bridge,” a way to meet people with whom we can then proclaim the gospel. It is a visual aid a nonverbal medium message. A person communicates meaning most effectively when using verbal and nonverbal (tone of voice, facial expression, gestures) means. So, too, we communicate the gospel most effectively when we are both speaking and doing it.’ Tim Keller

'"Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?" He said, "The one who showed him mercy." And Jesus said to him, "You go, and do likewise."' Luke 10:36-37
