Francis Xavier: missionary to Japan
A must see for all who are interested in missions in Japan. Biography: Saint Francis Xavier - YouTube
"Speak to them of the great mercy of God…. Sometimes people are helped by your telling of your own lamentable past." Francis Xavier
1 Timothy 1:13-14, "Though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost." The Apostle Paul

Documentary on St. Augustine
Here's a very enlightening Documentary on St. Augustine whom both Protestants and Catholics regard highly.
“Thou hast made us for thyself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in thee.” Augustine of Hippo, Confessions
John 4:13-14, "Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'”

Amy Carmichael: missionary to India and awkward colleague
'Awkward colleague' is what many people might call me. Amy Carmichael was full of faith and foibles. "Do you know someone with a flair for saying the right words and also the wrong ones? You’ve got an Amy Carmichael—she rubbed people the wrong way but also touched souls with her life."
For a short time, she was actually a missionary in Japan, working with the renown Barclay Buxton.

Our Poverty in Prayer
Listen to Dr. Richard_Gaffin_on Our poverty in_prayer, or We don't know what we ought to prayer for. Or here: Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church.
“You and I are free as believers to be ourselves in prayer because we are not ultimately dependent on our own efforts in prayer. Our dependence is elsewhere.”
Romans 8:26, 34 "Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words…. Christ Jesus is the one who died--more than that, who was raised-- who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us."
